It did look like a point and squirt type drive. Mind you when you squirted the vision blured (like warp speed on the starship enterprise) and the other minis on track get closer very quickly. Very impressive.

it did look a bit that way ben, but you have to try remember that the engine makes 100 hp between 4500 and 5500 rpm. and it takes a bigger tyre to control the power surge than those fitted on the day,
you really wouldn't want to see full boost in the middle of a corner in 1st or 2nd,lol

it fun on some hoosier R 25 though, serious forward motion i can tell you,

i;d love a go round combe with some on,lol.

Looks like its going well! *tongue*

What water pump are you using Tom? I managed a steady 120mph+ (5500/6000rpm) for about 30mins the other day on boost (on a RR of course *wink* ) and ive never had any problems with cooling with the meziere pump?

I doubt you want to see quarter boost in a corner. I know what out 998 with a T3 on was like mid corner when the boost came in and that was only 140 bananas. We all appreciate that it is slightly compromised on a track, but with not much effort it could be made more drivable, but to the detriment of the 1/4 mile performance. An improvement my be a steady cam!

LMAO!

At the end of the day the DON is a drag racing weapon. That is what it was built to do, and if I say so myself it does that pretty bloody well.

However as a bit of fun it also goes to other places, this year thus far it has been to Santa Pod, York Raceway, Avon Park, Prescott Hillclimb, Cadwell Park, Curborough sprint circuit, and Castle Combe. Not a bad resumé as far as I'm concerned, but at the end of the day all these sundry events are simply 95% fun and 5% advertising for Carl.
I know for a fact I could have driven a lot harder round Castle Combe as I've been there and driven it 4 or 5 times now, but what is the point of risking anything? I certainly had a good laugh out there without going balls out in a car, that at the end of the day, doesn't belong to me.
