thru all these direct in bin, go back to 1.3's. cam lobes, valves, guides will be so much more reliable, and you'll not loose that much. |

yes gavin , i put it in the electric drill with a rule on the valve pad to keep it paralell , it was a bit of a palaver and needed 2 people ,one to drill and one to check it was parallel !

i used 2 sockets , one to push it out and one to spacer it on the other side , in the vice ,then tapped out the last bit once it had bottomed on the socket spacer ......er .... did that make any sense ?

7 year old thread.... but look what happened while just trickling along in 4th gear. Shaft had done maybe 1500km. Spring pressures etc. all set properly...

I took the rest of the shaft out tonight and it files very very easily, also a lot of fretting of the metal under the posts.... soft as f*ck, but how hard are they meant to be?

Maybe time to find a new supplier of shafts? I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.
