Thats a good idea, get a few races under your belt, your bound to swap paint with a few cars when learning the ropes, you would be reaaly hacked off to swap fresh paint!

Back from MITP with some new inspiration. Came away with 2 grey clutch covers and a spare carb. Just started knocking up a new work bench....which will go in the dining room for my engine build. Its all stripped, I will hopefully borrow a honing tool the weekend & degrease the block.

Making the most of the dry weather.

Spare parts are building up to...many thanks to those who sent bits. :)

Another top tip...since the banning of creosote due to the EU, I've being going to the local garage for used engine oil. Boil it up on a gas stove and applying. Will last alot longer than that shite you get from DIY shops. :)

Edit...got side tracked again......my friends mini power plant..............

Been awhile since I last posted. Apart from doors, floor & electrics the Shed is almost complete. Got all engines parts for assembly. The car is developing abit of rust now on the door pillars. Managed to get lots spare parts thanks to people on here. :)
Another let down though, company is has been making people redundant. So saving money just in case, hopefully it will pass!
Taken me 6 months to get over the last job loss!
Its abit 'one step forward two steps back' at the moment.

With bad weather & worrying about job, and generally a constant string of bad luck, seriously considering scrapping the project.
