Update! The water pump cover is nearly finished, sadly my brother "machined" a small bug into the cover, but I didn't want him to spend even more time at the mill, because he is building a house at the moment....Nevertheless I really love CNC mills....

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Vegard, your are right - at the time of construction I really wanted to hide the block behind the new plate....

That's ace. You'd only know it's A series if you really look at the lower timing plate.

Harry,

This is simply great. As/When I build one of these units, I'm afraid i'll be plagiarising a lot of your ideas however. :)

Sold the turbo and seeing what the C20XE can do!

Near Lincoln

i really wish i had been into this conversion earlier. we got to make no end of parts via CNC for my dipolma's/degree.

looking excellent! makes me think again about doing some of my own bits rather than buying the SC kit.

I wonder what the charges for machining a part are? the CAD side of things isnt a problem really.

Only just spotted this. That estate is fantastic, but then I am biased as mine looked similar :)

I even had a set of MB wheels at one point as well.

The quote from your site- "I used this car as a daily driver for 3 years, which meant driving from Monday to Friday and repairing on Saturday/Sunday…" Oh so true!

I love the big brakes.

Nice! What does it weigh?

Ignore me. I've clicked the link 3.3kg's

I happened to see somebody weigh a 2.95kg flywheel over the weekend. Wonder who made it?
