So, what got you all into minis and what inspired you?

I was into Morris Minors. I got my first in about 95. Ended up getting a Vizard Bible and shoving an old fashioned sprint engine into my 55 splitscreen. Weird magic wand gearbox with nasty ratios. Could easily break traction in all gears. 5.3 final drive. IIRC.

GF at the time insisted on getting a mini as a first car, I tried to desuade her. Engine around the wrong way, wheels to small, you die when you crash them.....

My car broke down and I had to drive it to work at the other end of a good B road. 83 City E. Went and bought a 64 mini minor the next weekend....put an MG Metro engine in it.

That went through all sorts of guises. Have a 66 Morris which has just finished having a full race 1430 and is now getting a BMW headed 1460. Had a bini charger, got rid of it. Prefer N/A race stuff.
