i know nic dont worry i hang around hear a fair bit just dont post as i dont feel i know enough to contribute lol

the cars very usable around town you have to bare in mind its std cams and ignition so it pulls from very low down and as you say shifting at 5 or 6k is no big deal, the car itself from the outside isnt noisey with a twin box system but its stripped out inside so its rattly and vibey but hey thats my own fault.

nic i'd love to go passenger in a fast turbo mini and i'd gladly take you out in mine,

there is a guy on tmf who has alot more civilised pro motive conversion with carpets and recliners etc and he loves it, the main hurdle is the reverse gear but the guys are looking into having a propper transfur box made with a propper driven reverse not a poxy electric motor, ditching the chain setup,

as far as clutches go they are easy enough to replace so if it lasts me a year of weekend and evening driving i'l be happy and i'd look to convert it to a coil spring clutch with some heavy springs as the clutch is quite light and lacks alittle feel,

anyway if u dont mind i like to lurk on here as your 16v heads and monster turbos are interesting and make for much better reading than the other all show no go mini forums,

Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

i wonder if you could pop a r1 engine into a clubman and have enough space for a turbo aswell.

could be intresting.
