Looks neat and tidy si!

I notice that your building it with a cavity. Are you insulating it?

Well yesterday I got some more done .

The steels turned up and there was a very helpful driver that got them as close to the build as he could I had to jump up on the back to hold a rope as he swung it over my house.

As you can see I was close to having no tv lol

And it would of been rude not to get the first steel up there before the Xmas brake.

Then up it went

Then I started the cut roof

This is where I am up to at the min, all the wood is done and I have some more blocks to lay on the ends then it's tile time.

that is a very nice job there... no hole's in it to make it lighter?

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

Thanks Dave,

Planning was ok mate, as I went and had a chat with the planning lady first and asked her to call out and see what I am thinking of building, she was more and happy with it and I had no objections at all.

Thanks JT,

I have had a bloke helping me out here and there as he has a lot more experience doing this sort of thing. But have been doing everything I can to keep costs low as much as possible.

Well I have been cracking on with the workshop here and there. So here is one more boring update..

Like with most of this stuff I had never done tiles before so I grabbed the bull by the horns!

All the verge tiles had to be cut to fit, I was happy with the fit at the end.

Not bad full roof done in 2 days

Then I got cracking on with the inside, I have fitted 100mm insulation in the roof.

Then this was covered with 18mm OSB board

Also I got on with the mezzanine floor lots.

Got the door fitted I am super happy with it.

Here's a little pic of where I am up to as of tonight.

Carnforth, Lancs

I bet getting the OSB up there wasn't much fun!
Are you going to give the ceiling a lick of paint to keep it nice and bright in there?
