Well chaps,

It's been a long 16 days but it's getting there!

Paul most of the skilled work has been done by a bloke I know, but I have been doing as much as I can on it over the last 16 days, as it was also good to work with someone who can show me some new skills! As every day is a school day.

As I post this the mk1 is at the body shop for its first coat of primer as there is a lot of bear steel on it. Then back for some more work here and there.

I am still on track for my dead line, and just on budget as planned 😀

They don't die, they just get faster!

Hi gents, I can't take any credit for the welds at all!

I have been working on the shell for the last 7 days with a bloke, who's very up to speed with tig welding.

Well the last 14 days was full on mini! Working in the car from 07.00 to 01.00 most days, the cage is now done. And it's down with the body man for the next week then paint.

I will be going to do 3 days work on it Wednesday just to tidy up any last bits.

So some pics for you lads. The cage is a work of art and I am super happy with the work and thought that's gone into it.

I stole your idea there mate, as it was the only way I could find of doing it subtly with out using one of the big drift style ones, it's still not finished tbh.

Looking good as always

Are you going for direct mounting of radius arms to the heelboard or a Haston style live rear axle?

I have mocked up some direct to heelboard mount radius arm brackets, saves about another 500g over what I have but it's just another thing to stop me ever finishing *wink*

CNC gear lever base?
