Hi gents thanks for all the well wishes,,

This is not something new it's been going on since September time, and as Ben knows I have just been getting on with it.. It's just the last 2 weeks have been really bad and it's been a big out brake, so two in two weeks.

I am waiting on test results in the next two days to try and pin point wtf it is that's leaving all the speed holes in me! The latest being the size of a 50p and about 5mm deep.

Time will tell

I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Wow. No fun. Get well better i do want to see that car again at a meeting. And its right full owner by the bbq next to it.

you can do anything if you set your mind to it...
i rather blow it up winning than keep it together losing.

finish date set for project 1... march 2018

Well gents it's been a while,

I have been on the mend, and not had a relapse in weeks 😜👍 I found out what it was I had and it was MRSA (PVL) but looks like all is good, I have to wait 3 or 4 months to get the full all clear but it's looking good..

Ok car stuff !!!

First up I have been doing some small bits at nights on the lathe...

And then that leads me on to the carb *smiley*

All rebuilt, and lots of weight saved from it, also a new heat shield made.

Next up was a little task more to see if I could so I think I will go for it..

Normal one on the left and my alloy one on the right.

Fits well.

This started at 375g

Most of this is remade 😀

Just as a benchmark a standard ish engine.

The airfix mk1 turnned up last week 😄😄

And then today I loaded it all up and moved it on...

That's all at the min that I would like to show 😜😜😜😜

Thanks not sure on weight at the min, but I will just chip away at all the little bits as and when I find time. As for it looking fantastic 🤔🤔🤔 if it looks better then it did I will be happy lol.

I have just finished the 4 window buttons, with bolts it's a 30g saving so not that bad.

Also I have just sorted the 4 engine Steadys. The old 4 was 715g the new ones are 280g so again a nice saving 😜👍

The carb with Manafold was 2.890kg it's now 2.240kg

The dipstick old 85g new 35g

all the little bits will add up fast just with a bit of thought hear and there, plus I see it as free weight saving if I can make it here at home.

Simon.
