yes gary , on a switch on the dash , because there just aren't enough switches and things to do lol. i generally leave it switched to economy though ,unless dynoing .or racing .

Cant remember how mine works... leans off under a certain rpm when on cruise.. is that off megajolt?

Argh my phone is so stupid! With the lean off just connected as a pipe it was really difficult to drive, the AFR was all over the place so I was constantly on and off the throttle trying to keep it somewhere close to where it should have been. I drove it home from Carls with it on and then took it straight off and it was a lot smoother other than being a bit rich.
But thanks for all the advice though guys! Will give them a try soon hopefully (:

If you are controlling it with MJ and a solenoid, you want to do it at a set load rather than RPM.

Too much power guys, clutch is slippy! My dump valve was leaking a bit of air so after changing the spring this afternoon and taking it for a test it's a lot better and responsive but slipping, boo! We did want to go for the uprated one but minispares were completely out of stock so it's a jobby for the Christmas holidays along with fitting my heated screen *happy*

UPDATE.
I didn't realise it had been almost 6months since I was last on here, opsssss. Well, I came on when I had a little tiff and couldn't take any more but luckily I decided against selling up after what was found 2/3 months ago!

BODYWORK.
Got him up on some ramps to have a look at my subframe/paint my floor and long story short, it was a mess.




You get the idea.. it was pretty bad (I am so glad I didn't sell up and someone else found all this, I'd feel terrible!)
Jez (Cradleyheath) sorted me out over a few weeks and it came back after pretty much rebuilding the whole back end looking sweeeeeeeeet!


Now all it needs under there is a full stainless exhaust *happy*

ENGINE.
As always, 8psi isn't enough. So I took it to Hitec in Cradley Heath back in March. NEVER again. I should have ripped the guy out of my driving seat when he asked if I had a T3 on a 998. Foolishly I let them carry on until they flooded my engine and then because they thought the carb was blocked they then blew fuel everywhere it shouldn't be. So he left not starting. I've been to 3 different rolling roads now and I would never ever ever ever recomment hitec. Mostly because they let me push my car out on my own and didn't offer any sort of help with recovering the car back home. Plus for the pleasure they charged me £70 (yes I'm bitter over £70 because they were huge bumholes who wouldn't listen to instructions!)
Carl then pulled it apart and took it to Southam (always my first choice but they are always so busy!) to get it running right and sort out the needle. I absolutely love the guys there, they are so friendly and really know what they are doing. They tried installing the bleed valve but it must have been faulty because from what Carl told me it was climbing to 14psi and still going! So a few weeks ago we went back to try turn the boost up but as he got it on 9.5 the clutch started slipping, again! So back to 8 it went :(.
It's not all bad news though, I'm still on my first head gasket after a good 5kish! Did L2B last weekend and he coped really well apart from getting a bit toasy as we haven't changed to the summer stat yet.

Plans for the summer are:
SORT CLUTCH FOR 10PSIIIIII!
Tidy up the bay because it's getting a bit tired and I can't stand the mess anymore
Respray!
New wheeeeeeels
Now some general pictures! Carls recently bought a 4X4..

Tbh, when I've been to hi-tec I've always felt sort of short changed. It seems unless it's a historic car or one of his buddies he doesn't want to know.

They were nice enough until it went wrong tbh. Carl called them a few days after just to let them know it was them that flooded it (I don't want anyone else to have the same problem) but he flat out refused to accept any of it, he just kept saying the carb was blocked! I'm not sure if it would have gone differently if I hadn't taken it alone but oh well! Southam sorted it right out *happy* they are absolutely spot on apart from their ancient dyno *tongue*

Haha yeah, I've always said I'd never change the looks. It's going to be hard though as I don't really want to be ripping all of my interior out and drilling tons of holes anywhere and everywhere! I'll get him weighed in the next few weeks to see where he's actually at.

You could just lose alot of hidden weight and still keep it looking the way it is, would be interesting to find out what yours weighs?

Yeah, I'll get it on some scales in the next few weeks before ripping it to bits haha. I was planning on taking it this weekend but I'm working on Saturday now. I don't think I'll be doing a great deal in the engine bay for the time being as both me and Carl agree it all needs to come out so we can change a few bits plus my wiring loom could do with being ripped out and starting again but that won't be until next year as I really want to put our time into Carls for a bit. Weekend just aren't long enough haha!

Boost was turned up to 10 today, Carl replumbed the dump valve and it's like a completely different car! Got to try get it weighed in the next few days before it's stripped down for paint next week :)
