Got all four bottom engine steadies fitted and some new rubbers *smiley*

Oil cooler and a touch more tuning then hopefully it will be IMM ready!

Nope! 1 is in the boot as a spare, 1 is at Andy's to go in his boot as a spare and the other two are sold I believe!

There is still far to much tyre tred for the length of time you say you've had it on the road *tongue*

Well I did the 2014 IMM in it (really enjoyed it) without any drama and in total perhaps clocked up about 1200 relatively trouble free miles in it that year aside from a minor graunch going into 4th with any gusto.

It was duly parked up as come August 2014 I became the father to twins and we all know what happens then!

Roll on spring last year I managed to get in the garage to take the engine out for some strategic upgrades (cylinder head, rockers, GT17) and to diagnose the gearbox fault which I quickly discovered that being the tit I am I didn't install a baulk ring on 4th! I found said baulk ring in the box of bits in a zip lock bag ready to be installed! Box back together I've pretty much not touched the car since then aside from pulling the Mini Sport 4 pots off and selling them! Garage became full of the kids gear so the mini was quickly buried!

A couple of months ago I got a 2nd garden shed so managed to get some of the kids stuff out the garage making it possible to actually see the mini and over the weekend I've cleared the rest of the crap out so I am almost ready to start doing some work on the car again (almost).

I've got to make at least one good turbo out of the 2 x GT17's I have as one has a damaged comp wheel (I have a new wheel) and I need to check the other over. I may just modify one up for fitment then send it off for a proper rebuild to be honest! Engine and gearbox need sticking back together. Clutch plate wants changing as it's only got a cheapo motor factor special in there and hopefully with new turbo and head the power will be up a bit! Head wants swapping, need to make a decision on what rockers to use then I need to suss the installation back into the bay along with the new turbo, manifold & DP setup, get the oil cooler installed (finally) when I can find somewhere to shoehorn it in! I've got a few other oddities I've bought for it to fit then it's complete the installation of the new brakes then try to get it on the road for spring.

I'd forgotten about them until I spotted them the other day but I've got some KAD rear arms and a KAD rear ARB but TBH I think the ally rear arms are pointless for this car so probably will just shift them on and just fit the ARB and pro-tech's I have.

I also need to get some paint splashed on it here and there!

Hopefully an actual progress update will follow this post soon-ish (perhaps).

Actually been doing some odds and sods on this!

Changed the clutch plate in my RTS from the motor factors special.

Whipped the head off (for peace of mind and because I'm changing the rockers)

Doesn't look too bad, one plug is a bit darker (the only one where the open side of the electrode faces away from the valves)

Pistons look nice and clean and bores look good.

Engine and gearbox mated back together

Where does this go? *happy*

Only kidding!

Next jobs:- head back on, transfer case, flywheel etc back on then got to get the new turbo mated up *smiley*
