Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM

Check the oil pressure gauge line has no leaks in it. Air gettinf in there as the engine sits will allow the oil to drain back. Infact. A leak anywhere after the pump will allow it to drain back. Oil pump gasket is also a possible air leak.

So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

There's no signs of any external leaks so thinking its posibably internal.

Will check all connections off the 3 way connector on the block

Will check all connections off the 3 way connector on the block and back off gauge.

But as everyone has said it looking like an engine out job and strip down so thats a winter project.

Its not a real issue as the mini has oil pressure once running.

What sort of oil filter housing do you have? I swapped mine for an aftermarket one without the bypass valve in it and now it takes my engine a few seconds to build oil pressure. Like yours once running everything is fine.

Its a standard Pre 1992 housing with the Bypass, been speaking to Benross as the original had the bypass blocked off BUT got cracked during slight modifiactions to get the intercooler in.

It was a second hand item off a mate so going to order a new one and see if it makes any differance.

Seems a while since I put an update on the forum about the mini

Engine has been in and out more times than a care to remember over the last year :( this is something that was expected and now have it down to a tee and replacing a HG was a common affair. The main issue with the build was a faulty oil pump, which took nearly 10 seconds to build pressure from cold so out the engine came to replace it.

Also had an issue with getting hot in traffic (normal mini thing) but this was on the extreme side, so 11 blade fan and new 2 core radiator was fitted. Wasn't happy about having to drill a hole in the new radiator to allow for a water return from the turbo.

These are the last pictures taken from last year before putting the mini away for winter and while im in Macau-China.

Yep there's a fully welded in 6 point cage with X brace / door / bash bar and an extra brace between the "b" post hoop.

It a lot of cage but since its the same colour as the mini you done really see it if you get what I mean.

Should of really done it from day one but always wanted the weber from being young........
That soon wore off as a mate had a turbo mini and beat me at MITP in 2013.
Do love the turbo, its a nice drive off BOOST and insane when needed to be.

Good time at MITP even if you couldn't get many runs in due to stupid things happening on the track *angry*

Mini made it there and back without a HGF.

Even had 2 runs against mate in his B18 mini with NOS....... he lost twice *Clapping*

Managed a 14.8 second 1/4 mile so happy *tongue*
