Well comisserations to those that had problems, but considering the number of cars there (17?) and that they were pretty much all pushing big figures, the faliure rate was damn good!

madMk1 what was the issue with yours, was it just the rain?

Thanks to ALL those of TurboMinis, Thanks for making me feel welcome and organising, The first session on the rollers for the GTM, And the first RWD car of the day clearing out the viweing area due to the Fumes...... I wondered where everyone had gone.

Result after doing another run at the end of the day to include losses was 202, and 176 curlys, but Personally I think that is a little optimistic for the my build.

Some impressive numbers from others the open pipe run of roberts was loud! and slightly spooky with the dusk light

Well Rick, Nic never made it to the last RR day, Robert i think was able to run a tinny bit more boost. And myself I found an issue after the last RR day so have fixed that , so that's what made the difference i think. And Star Mag has done stuff to engine since last RR dsay as well.

Was certainly a good day and some very impressive results.

As the old man says, after our 3rd run was aborted we don't believe a coastdown run was carried out incase of problems. If this is the case fortunately we have the losses printed out from when it went on the RR at NM last year. He's a bit of a whizz with excel and formula stuff so he should be able to work out an approx figure from it.

Sorry to hear about your problems on the way home Simon, nothing the chocolate fingers box caused i hope :(

Same as Robert, Tom's car did sound very nice but in my opinion, as a fan as the induction roar, John's 7 ports growl was my favourite :)

I was also impressed by the Clan, the GT17 performed nicely on that so should hopefully do the business on the 998Ti Take2 :)

Did anyone take a note of all the power figures and do the average calc?

The average was 150.1bhp before Nic ran so with his big numbers plus the ones that Matt and Aaron knocked out it's got to be pretty good.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Wintersurfer has a few vids towards the end of the day.

Strange that you mention the boost issue Paul. Mine seemed to boost much later on the rollers than on the road. I was convinced that I had a leak somewhere.

The printout suggested that there wasn't a problem either.

Shame we missed some of the earlier runs. Toms 205 is fantastic, shame to see it playing up.

Also loved Roverts side pipe literally knocking the to fwd car from the leader board. I think this is caught on video.

I had a good day too. Even though I had the lowest powered car I was well happy with 60 bananas from my NA 998. Sorry to bring the average down, but at least the TT performed and 163 from that was excellent. Pitty we could not get the boost control working and run a little more psi.

60 from a n/a 998 is bloody good going! Loved my old 998 engine, so smooth and free revving :)

Cheers for everyone for comming, I was a bit worried we'd be light on numbers, but some sterling efforts for some for getting cars back together and then driving a fair way.

I was happy with my 113bhp from the sprint, but the 140ftlbs seems unusually high.#

Coming home today in all this rain I was regulary in the outside lane doing 80mph when the front wheel would spin up! Gulp.

There was a blond chick taking photos all day, but you'll need to buy MiniWorld in a few months to see them.

Yep Graham Harvey with the green 998 fuel injected turbo. It made very similar power to the TT about 160.
