Update time:

mercenary62 - i finally fitted my front windows. Basically i took out all the seals from the bottom of the doors and fitted the window in the runners on the top side guttering. I ordered some M4 button head bolts with rubber washers for the outside and when held in there just drilled in tightened up then sealed the bottom with silicone.

Back to the car now! I've been having a few issues with oil pressure and as with all a series mine seems to have developed a leak EVERYWHERE so i'm gonna try me best to resolve this too. So basically it is rebuild time and give the engine a bit of tlc over winter :) I also want to look at re running my brake lines as i have a minor leak somewhere that means i seem to have fluid gathering by the tower bolts; i'm skeptical this could be a leaky lid! however i think im gonna save for a KAD pedal box set up http://www.kentautodevelopments.com/shop/p...aster-cylinders get rid of the mini ones.

i also took the opportunity to take of the oil catch tank for the first time and well it looked like a combination of man juice & ale; but with a mineral(ish) smell

i started to do some work on the two engines. basically my plan is to take the gearbox & clutch off the turbo engine and put it on the 998 then just throw that in the car eventually so i can still use it. Although realistically this isnt going to happen until next year as i have stuff i need to do for the car.

Then i just took some time to look at my head and well i was embarrassed with it really after seeing lees nicely ported head. Im happy with the compression ratio i think as that sits about 9.1:1 i think (will measure this more accurately at a later date) so i just need it refined. So Phil or Benross i'll be in touch soon & depending who is cheaper will get that to work on (im on a budget)

No laughing & inlet/exhaust ports i think could do with opening (can this be done?)

it's be ok i just need a welder to weld some nuts onto them or and the ones i cut drilling out. which i need to do anyway as they are threaded.

Yesterday eve i spent my time in the garage as i didnt have internet.

Not much really in terms of progress but my engine has now been cut up and sits on the side for the winter as had to make space. My gearbox from this to go on the 998 once i have done what i need on the car.
