Thanks Dave, I have lots of ideas but it's just finding the time to start them as it looks like I may be going away soon again.

So to use the time I have at home to the full I think I will go to pod on Saturday as I had the mk1 out yesterday and it was happy with the 30odd psi I give it so let's see what the weekend brings

Tomorrow I will give the mk1 a good going over to make sure it's safe and reddy for the strip. As I have one or two things I need to look at on there before I would be happy to run it.

Well it's been a while since I have done an update as I have been away with work for the last two months in the Falklands and all I can say about that place is it's very very windy! it's like the ice age with out the ice!




I had some free time so as there is nothing to do there I did some war site seeing.



Even had a little time to do a spot of fishing


Ok moving on, when i got back i found out that the old rover I had was past it's best I set about finding a new one, behold the new tow truck..


Anyway I got the mini sorted to go to pod land on Saturday and it just seemed that I could not get the grip down no matter what I did all day, but I had a little play with the setup of the tyres and I think I am happy with my findings at the min.

I run a supercharger and I don't care the TB is on the wrong side.

Thanks mate, yes still the same PB, but the car is the same as it was then, so a little bit more R&D is called for me thinks.

Also I have a little plan up my sleeve to drop as much as 10kg out of the mk1. MITP will be what I am working towards.

I have similar wheels to yours on another mini and they weigh just under 8kg each with tyre? do you know the weight of yours? And then compared to what a 10" wheel from mr austin would be with tyre???

Wheels and look is not somthing I will compromise on, so these wheels will stay.

Or I would just fit most of the Gen CF out there and drop lots of weight.
