Update...

These are going on:

So with a bit of this:

I mounted the air temp sensor i cut out from further up the manifold, needs cleaning but this stuff is more than up to the job (boss uses it in agriculteral to good effect):

Just need to weld some small pipes on to match the offset of the tb's

Got some towing eyes and welded one on the front as breaking down was gettin annoying (dont buy cheap alternators just get the real thing!)

New flexi pipe for the clutch:

And the latest change is from tonight:

From this:

To this:

Basically im ditching the y21 gearbox, the gearing is just aweful, and dropping in a s9b gearbox, the gearing is alot taller as its from an 1800 aerodeck but the best part is the lsd it has sitting in it. Its also a great excuse to put my new steering rack on.

Not liking the look of this tho:

Looks like the calipers only working the outside of the disk... So will be investigating this!

A mini cant ever be hard to park!

Cant imagine how it can affect parking tho mate, the diff only steps in when one wheel loses traction, and i dont spin the wheels much when in doing a spot if parking *wink* haha

Well. I figured out id took apart my mini the wrong way on the garage so i had to make a sledge to bring it out and turn it around.

Its been more than handy tho, pushing it around in the garage makes life alot easier.

I brough an engine lift, unfortunatly it wasnt possible to pick it up before the weekend so borrowed my mates ride to hoist the lump out.

Pickin my engine lift up tommorow so itl be a hell of a lot easier and safer.

New steering rack modified and fitted, probably the part im looking forward to most because the old rack was looser than katie prices flange

And now we are ready for the re-build.

May have some new wheels and tyres turnin up soon aswell. So grip, traction and steering should be improved tenfold.

Drive shafts havnt given any problems yet, but hasnt covered much mileage... the steering rack was very close, ive grinded as much as i really want to off the steering rack and countersunk the bolt to hopefully help a little. But yeh its a dogey fit around there if u dont shave the rack.

Good work on the car! The Merlo forklift is modified with bonnet guards 😃 I worked on them for about nine years :)

Yeah, we thought its cheaper to bend a bar back than buy a new fiberglass panel... Stop bails drooping on it... Fun machines.

Cheers lads... Amazing what a bit of polish can do.

It seems TM is having a VTEC revolution.

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile
