Ive got an Mx5 for my run around (insert hair dresser joke here) at the moment, the seats are brilliant and they also have extra foam pads inside which you can easily remove to give them a more Bucket seat feel.

Ok. spent all day on the rollers. Achieved 126bhp at 5000rpm on 6psi 0.4bar boost. 137ftlb at 4250rpm. Peak power is 5000rpm then torque and power fall away massively.

Here are both graphs before & after the turbo install.

Pete Burgess's. I have taken the wheels figures and converted to flywheel using coastdown graph. not the most accurate method I know,especially considering 2 different rolling roads. I did however set the graph to read the lower din standard output to match ggmotorsports figures.

Good figures there matt, I went peter burgess a few years back seemed quite good rollers

13.95 1/4 mile on a 2.95 fd. Carnt be that hard to beat!

CR is 9.8-1. So was always designed to run low boost. Yes lack of power above 5k is probably due to the SW5 cam advanced at 103degrees for bottom end and high Turbo back pressure from small T2. Charge temps also raised slightly due to lack of airflow.

With clutch slip at anything above 7psi, I've took the plunge to build a RTS clutch. I'm using 2 AP springs 2.2mm & 2.3mm. Ive had some En24T spacers made and bought a selection of 10.9 High tensile bolts and Knuts.

After stripping a thread at 20ft/lb using the normal method I decided to mount countersunk M8 bolts from behind with proper nuts.

I Just need to pop over to MED to pick up one of their lightened flywheels and get the whole thing balanced with a Bonded 180mm AP plate.

Straight cut box time! I was having fun until this happened. All was well, then rattly Gearbox big time. Just hope the Quaife is ok.

I've done about 1500miles so far. Other than the breather issue, which is now sorted its performed really well.

However. I've now got a good reason to up the boost, swap to a 274 Cam, SCCR box, SC Drops and GT1752.
