Not posted for a while, but thought it was time for an update finished my turbo engine and ran it through the summer but was plagued with blue smoke, so decided to have Benross build me a short engine and a standed cylinder head, Im now putting these together with a different gearbox..

Here's a few pictures for you to see..
started by installing the main shaft and reverse gear

cleaned these parts ready to assemble.

in with the layshaft and laygear..

Had to turn this retaining plate out to a bigger size, so I could fit a 2.9 diff

now the first motion fifth gear to the layshaft..

fifth gear which spins free on the main shaft..

diff assembled with the 2.9 ratio..

end bearing and speedo drive assembled..

Well dad, no one would confirm it was correct, so had to take it off in case it was wrong would not like some one to copy what I had done if it was wrong..

You want the Magneti Marelli SEN8D sensor for that bracket, but you will need to space the bracket out a bit.

Yes. They might need the wires swapping round that run to it from memory.

Think next job is a clear up, getting to be hard work falling over things, taking
bits of the old engine now, there's bits of mini all over the place.
