Figured I would sort the surface rust on the floor out:

Driver Side:

Passenger Side:

Brushed and wire brushed:

Hammerite Rust Primered:

New oil pipe painted and fit:

Boost controller mounted:

FPR Mounted:

Fuel/Pressure pipes to the FPR:

Air Filter mocked up:

Pipes fitted to carb and plenum:

Todays Progress:

So I took pictures after I had finished work (about 20 minutes ago):

Painted the floors:

Got the new heater brackets bolted on and painted:

Air Filter mocked up and ready for clips tomorrow:

Changed the neoprene pipe that came with the boost guage to the silicon stuff I had:

Fuel Pressure regualtor finished:

Shropshire.

so close - looking good buddy, make sure the boost valve is shut off when you take it for the first few runs! then only increase in quarter turns..

i learnt this the hard way, gave it a few turns and subsequently shit my pants.

On that controller clockwise increases boost, so unscrew all the way to start with.

(it has a left hand thread)

Craig, you really need your boost tap inside of the car, so that you can adjust it while you drive, some times you want boost and some times you don't.. Alan

So it was pissing it down ALL DAY, finally got a few hours in at 5ish and got the air filter on finally, boost piping on finally, swapped the fuel feed on the carb to the correct point and then got the grill on finally as well as changing the battery positive terminal as the old one was split. I also made a final to-do list and here are the pictures:

Everything is so tight:

Battery is on charge ready for tomorrow, then I will get the megajolt map beamed across and we will go from there

'Fit HT leads' needs to be added to your to Fo list.

Also, dont forget 'lots of swearing' and 'threats to set on fire' otherwise it'll never start.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Okay so I was going to update this yday, however photobucket and firefox no longer get along as the Flash plugin keeps crashing.

Anyway yday I got alot done,

Bumper is on:

New wheel arch on:

Got the heater in and the heater pipes:

Got the steering wheel and stalks back on for final fit:

Tidyed my wiring up:

Then thought I would attach my fuel hose:

Fuel hose looks a bit shit right? Not only that but it catches on the front steering rack gaiter. So my uncle has given me some 8mm copper line, about 4.5M of it so hopefully we will have enough to make up some new rigid lines tomorrow.

Heres the list for end of yday:

Heres todays progress:

Was a bad day for the family today, first anniversary of my grandmas death. Didnt think we would get anything done however my grandad said he wanted to do a bit so we got the aux guages on and wired in, parcel shelf etc in. It actually looks like a car now :)

Fuel line and exhaust (maybe) tomorrow then its ready to start up and after I put the interior back in it should (touches wood) be ready for MOT.

Watch this space!
