not been up to much other than sorting out this oil catch tank palarva. i've now some ebay jobbie mounted in the engine on the wing just behind the grill so thats all good. no piccy sorry.

also did a classic car type rally thing at the weekend run by the A's of bucks, herts mini club. much fun and the car got royally abused :s but its why i have it :)

its a menace on the country lanes and although my tyres were starting to become illegal i think the drivers one has well and truely had it.

tyre worn by lilpinkiy, on Flickr

other lil update i've started collecting ideas and bits for the next engine :/

thinking it will be a lil 998 lump.....anyway some tease parts haha or dirty

998 bits by lilpinkiy, on Flickr

sc-gearbox by lilpinkiy, on Flickr

it will by no means be a fast build but i wanna use this engine for the summer then maybe take it out and sell and get the 998 in for next year :)

nothing new really; cars been running a dream even though it has been royally abused :) (although now this will jinx it)

i had a weird leak problem on the master cylinder so as the brake was new i replaced the clutch as i also had a dribble on the inside. did that today and if im honest i remember it being harder but twas easy with just the heat to contend with.

also while i was about it the angle off the elbow off the turbo means that with the exhaust clamp on it fouls on the block meaning its not the best fit soooooo

turbo off (24.05.12) by lilpinkiy, on Flickr

its all back on now like a bloody jigsaw!

need some bits from mosses but will be running tomorrow eve i hope :)

other than thinking of upping the boost to 1 bar :s nothing much really planned till winter and then i will go gt17 and maybe sc injection thing :)

broke my first bit the other day. nothing dire just my rose joint on the DSN thermostat steady. before you ask i have no idea how. engine knocks i think now, well the down pipe does on the subframe as there is no longer a mount that side to under load it moves slightly.

i'll contact them tomorrow see if they can send a replacement can maybe only assume a dodgy batch from there supplier.

thank you ridinglow im glad you like it :)

had my first breakdown recovery last night. nothing dire just somehow the split pin had somehow come out of the clevis pin on the clutch arm and needless to say it did a runner. ended up with this situation.....

ok more info.

got the car fixed. a nice dsn mount as we as a ti rod for the slave :)

been driving about again and weekend i got lee to drive the car as he hadnt driven it yet anyway but also it felt weird. turned out ball joints were somewhat worn and lose. i tried to fix it but just repaired as best as i could to get me the 5miles home.

however yesterday it looked like this while lee worked on his

:) by lilpinkiy, on Flickr

today it looked like this....

up again by lilpinkiy, on Flickr

then this appeared as i was taking off the drivers hub nut :p

wah how this happen! by lilpinkiy, on Flickr

and the last ball joint was giving me jip so we will meet again tomorrow!

muthaF by lilpinkiy, on Flickr

in other news i have a leaking olive i think on my brake hose from my master cylinder which is making the bulk head a right royal mess and pissing me off as i couldnt at first see where is was and initially i had a leaky lid!

i've also got myself a GT17 :) so looking forward to fitting that and my SC box over the winter.

Also contemplating ignition ideas atm as the MJ is nice but i want something that is tidier; however that could just be resolved by neatening my wiring.

oh i also have some clutch slip but its not so bad atm just frustrating on the lil T2 high up in the revs.

It was like driving a rocket propelled shopping trolley with those loose ball joints!

Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

got the scissor type and i have to say the ball joint put up a good fight. it got to the point where i couldnt really tighten it much more so i just left it there for about 5 mins. went back to look at it and BANG right in my face; fricking loud nearly shit me pants :p

now im having a cuntish time with the shimming of the ball joints. i tried last night but i had zero tolerance so i'll revisit it tomorrow day when i can enjoy some annie mac and sun :)

this turned up too; not bad for 67 pounds delivered! almost newly fitted. my t2 was more rusty when i had fitted that after sitting in my garage :)

since the above not much has happened. went to prescott with no door windows which was an interesting motorway journey and sore ear after 4 hours of driving and wind battering. still a fun day.

i've got myself some m4 bolts so will try fit the door poly windows this weekend if the rubber washers turn up. however the biggest update has been that i've fixed my hard limiter on my MJ...... well not fixed just more of wired it up correctly *tongue*

so supermotolee and i went out to see where all the cool kids hang out last night and we shot this :p

ps maccy d's is the place to be; even saw an 18 year old that had a evo running two tial wastegates that cost him over 4k to insure!!! thats near 5k just to have the thing on the road o.O by this time it was 12 so we drove home :)
