Stuck with the mild steel in the end. Just making sure I clean all of the areas with some rag etc. All going ok now that it's all degreased.

Once I get more gas I'll finish up the cage and then (purchases dependant) I can order all of the extra T45 for the crossmember and suspension stuffs. Fun times! Hopefully the suspension parts will be tigged

I've set myself abit of a target so I'm trying to keep to it!

Indeed it is slightly higher. But rather than using a grinder to re-notch the tube and most probably end up with it a nats cock lower than the other one, I decided to leave it. Once the seats are in and everything else I'm sure your attention will be taken away from it. If it's not then I will have done something seriously wrong with the rest of the build!!

The problem is not the harness bar, its the diagonal thats a nats dick out

still, looks the nuts, and once the seats are in, who the fuck is going to notice

just hope the car sits nice and square, I see no bracing with oll that metal removed and all that welding.

COORR! i noticed someone had posted and thought one of you lot had done some work for me and then updated this thread for me! :(

Unfortunately nothing as of late. i need to get my mitts on a hole saw to do the front triangulation through the bulkhead.

I was going to do some last weekend but with the Muse gigs going on in Teignmouth i decided i might aswell make a weekend of that. Not really my thing but it was class!

I also got a quote for the extra T45 ill need to do the cross member, rear arms, front subby, and rear ARB.....£665 to my door....UHMMMMM

Anyone know of any decent T45 suppliers?!

If i can get the right size hole saw this weekend i might finish off the cage, However its nice sunny down here at the moment so i might well make the most of that and possibly get the jetski out for a bit of wakeboarding if its flat.

Im also looking at getting a daily driver so i need to save up abit. That unfortunately means the build will slow up abit with the fact that i need £600 worth of tube, £300 worth of seats £300 worth of pedal box and a steering wheel for the next process of the build...sooo we will see.

I need a payrise! however i'm lucky to have a job so i don't think that's on the cards at the moment!!!

OH and Andre, i have a feeling that they have sent me your optional tubes! even though i told them about 8 times that the one with the optionals was staying with them. I'll have a read through the check list that they send out with the cage and if they have sent me your optional tubes then we will have to arrange for me to send them to somewhere that you are picking other stuff up from on your trip over.

The cage is looking good,have you done the test sections they mention on their website yet?

Only reason i ask is i fancy the same cage & wondered how other peoples test sections had got on.

Ive done the test sections but not sent them off. FIA cert isnt a massive deal to me TBH because im not really going to be going into FIA events. Although it is always nice to know things are safe, and to plan for the future.

Im the same,it would be for my own peace of mind as much as anything else.Enjoying watching this one coming along
