burning off oil, did the bores get oiled? to be honest i would have thought that it would clear up as the rings sealed properly.

That will be the unburnt petrol vapour at the back.lol Will be fine once its got some miles on it. But there is an article on here somewhere about breaking in a new engine and I distinctly remember reading that you want it as lean as poss until the rings bed in. Hope that helps |

Remove the needle from the dashpot and remove the little collet that holds it in. The needle is stamped around the curcumfrence. |

I think t is already on here somewhere. I honestly found the best way was buy a few needles either side from what I had and try them. Speak to Burlen fuel systems very helpful. |

I would stick with the BDD on low boost until you can get it to the rollers. Otherwise it is all just guesswork. In the 13's at last!.. Just |

In that case I would change it for a genuine BDD. There's a possibility that it could have been modified. In which case it makes no odds what is stamped on the needle. In the 13's at last!.. Just |

It appears BDK is waayyyy up the scale compared to a BDD, I have a BER but this may be a little too lean for my purpose.
