Have you put a straight edge across all three flanges ???

On one I acquired, it had warped so that the middle one was too far away.

The trouble with machining the face by any more than a few thou is the washers wont push it against the gasket hard enough unless you machine the inlet manifold the same amount.

I always use these with a turbo manifold, they have a steel ring around the exhaust port.

The question is will they be big enough for your port???

Rod is right once again!

Finally found my 300mm steel rule and across the centre flange id say its about 1mm lower and is warped!

Need a new manifold i guess.

Nic, you saying those are the gaskets you use? The one i linked? As the portholes are more than big enough when I offered it up to the head :)

I was just coming on to post a wanted thread! I'll defo have this off you.

And nic, ill measure the ports tomorrow, cant remember the specs after all this time. Id have thought yours were big ports anyway too? So they'll more than likely be ok on mine!

Will double check before i order, cheers!

Hi guys! Long time no speak :). The mini is still not done, i've been doing this in a Nissan instead :





However i've had some motivation to finish the mini, so work is commencing very shortly! :)



Should be a laugh when done, really not much work left on it at all.
