Thanks chaps.

Had it on the weigh bridge today (nearly a full tank of fuel in it).

Pretty happy with that. Suppose I should start drilling holes everywhere! Quite a bit more to come out with alloy parts etc.

Had a few issues, couldn't keep it cool at high speeds, just not enough air flow through the rad, I've made a duct type thing to get more air to go through it, put a hole in the bonnet and cut out some of the body that was behind the grill. Seems to have helped no end. Gave it a good run today and it didn't get above 90. It's perfect in traffic though!

Also, definitely need to move my switch panel, harness on, can't reach anything!

The rear protech coilovers are quite a low spring rate, I bought them as that's what they recommended with a light car. I did not take into account my seating position is much further back so with two people it puts to much weight over the rear. In short I need some heavier springs as it rubs a fair bit.

Finally, internal linkage rattles like made at a certain speed/rpm. Seen a few people modify them with solid bushes and a sleeve in the front, so need to do that. It also comes to far over and you can nearly select reverse without lifting the collar on the stick. Bit of a pain but I should be able to move the plate at the bottom over.

Here's my duct thing.

Hole in the bonnet. Need some better trim.

Some grip tape on the floor.

You could also try a larger pulley from minispares or med

Speeding is like masturbating, everyone does it, but not all of us film it and put it on the internet

I have the larger standard pulley on there at the moment and a high capacity pump.

Having a duct seems to have solved it :). It couldn't cruise at 50 without the temperature creeping up, now cruising at 70 its fine and stays at a little under 90.

Fans set quite low at around 70 deg and stat is an 82 but with quite a lot of holes drilled.

Yea i think so, just not set up the side to side movement quite right. Need to try and stiffen it up now!

Was good to see yours, cheers for that.

My heat mat in the tunnel was crap. Admittedly the exhaust did touch it in a few places which probably didn't help.

Second time lucky. Done it with some decent Mocal stuff. Hopefully it will last this time.

Modded Y piece to bring the mid section right into the tunnel.

Cut and moved back this corner so the Y piece has more clearance.

Got a mate to weld these bends on my exhaust so it tucks it right up under the floor.

In place with the exhaust wrapped all the way along the tunnel. Has made such a difference to the heat coming through inside the car.

Bought some new rear arms and cut off all the bits i didn't need.

Standard arm weight (lightenned a little)

KAD arm, a good 4KG saved!

All done. I've also changed the rear springs from 125lbft to 150lbft. Which has stopped it rubbing at the back and set up the gear linkage correctly.

Changed my switches, what a difference being able to reach them makes!

Will be at MITP this weekend camping trying to get the alignment sorted today, had to take all the arches off as they couldn't get the heads on the wheels. Going back down this afternoon for a second attempt.

Made it to MITP despite getting stuck in M25 traffic for an hour.

Got seriously washed out. Saturday was good and it was nice to meet a few more people on here!

I think I still need to improve my radiator setup, it started getting a little warm going fast along the M1 and for some reason it chucked a little oil out the oil cap. Lots of rattles to sort to.

They're these ones, although I thought they were normal! I changed the washers around at the body end to spread the load better.

I'm having the same issue with temps I have a scoop similar to yours and the big pulley... If I give it some stick it seems to cool better than just cruising at 3krpm not quite sure what to do next I don't want to use a mechanical fan or a front mount rad
