The filter is cool, where did you mount it in the end? just on the turbo or does it have a second mount?

Large jubilee clip at the turbo, then welded a tag on the ducting, rivit nut in radiator cowl.

First of all, DON'T draum the contents om the catch tank back to the sump. On the other hand, with a design like that you,ll be filling it up rather quickly....

Having problems with blue smoke so sent for overall kit for turbo to start with..

While It's all striped down decided to do a bit of porting..

Got my new gasket and drew round inside..

First one done..

and the other..

Same thing with manifold..

While I was doing the porting got an advert via email from the seller I bought the service kit from
showing a new bearing housing with water jacket for the T3 and decided to send for It, so now waiting for that to arrive..

Usually it's not the size of the ports on the flange, but the bends that are the most restrictive.

In the 13's at last!.. Just

Yea just seen It on YouTube that it is the common practice to smooth the ports back to the gasket which is all I've done, just wondered If there was any thing else I could do..

The turbo elbow can be ported with good results.

Cleaned and faced all turbo parts ready for when new bearing housing arrives, the
picture below is the old bearing housing that I put the new turbo kit in but there was
to much play, so is ready to strip down for the new one..

Its arrived and I've took the old one apart, and put new bearings in the new one..

Completed building the housing..

Now for the rest..

First attempt, made brass Ferrell to connect water pipe to but it leaked..

So a bit of welding and a bit of turning, ended up with this..

Made a brass Ferrell for radiator to take water feed back into system..

Engine and sub frame back in, engine started OK, brakes and clutch to bleed, no
blue smoke as yet, but need to road test the mini before I can say for sure, fingers
crossed will keep you posted..

What drill bit and size did you tap the radiator to mate? would 1/4 bsp be too big do you think?

Its not tapped out just a drilled hole about 11mm, then I made a brass Ferrell with a screwed end and sealed it to the radiator with silicon..

Amazing! So much detail on such a small car. Love the air intake! I've been planning mounting the filter under the wing outside the car somehow.

This thread is fantastic - I really have an awful lot to learn in the ways of Fabrication and welding. Brilliant looking little car :)
