Do you know what the head is off? If its a 1600 head then you will have a low CR aswell.

Right - im finally back on track with this. Installed the 1600 last weekend, and it fired up first turn of the key.

Will keep the build thread upto date with my progess.

Next job is to balnce the ITB's again - will stick up another vid soon.

Can we see the video yet please?

Yeah sorry been a bit slack. Everytime I go to do something with this I loose motivation.. I guess it's because of the shite weather, Need the good wether back so I can get some tarmac time.

Been for a few rides, and its good - smokes a little on start up but drives well sounds awesome.

Doest have the torque of the turbo build, but it's more than quick enough for a fun occasional use and track car.

I will get a new vid up of it running soon - now where did I put my motivation?

Both thoes renault engines have now been replaced with the d4t engine 1149cc with added blow, much nicer than both the engine and many have been remaped to 130bhp with no problems everything internally and externally standard apart from getting rid of the horible standard air filter.

The itb's are off the car at the moment, been playing about with different setups etc, back on at the weekend.

Come to the conclusion that an interal pedal box would be a much better option!

Also been invited to show my car at the BMC mini fair at the end of the month.. A number of thing might prevent this happening tho :(

Cars not really the issue - the tow car might not be available (Old man using the mitsubishi) and the place i have used in the past for a trailer doesnt have one for that Sunday..

I could drive it but cant commit as its useless in the wet / snow.

That sucks a bit. Does paul have a trailer you can borrow? I was under the impression that he had one but im unsure.

Not sure buddy probably does, his back garden is better stocked than most!

People use thoes tyres for wets! You will be fine its not that bad just dont hoon it on the bends or late breaking, have a habit of stepping the back out. Where its strait have fun practice for avon

haha its not the tyres that i have the problem with. Its the crapness of the wipers (they do fook all) and the lack of blowers for the screen.

Im good but i still need to see when to point it.

Head out the window/door! And get one of thoes travel hair drys that runnon 12v point it towards the window, as for the wipers iirc no mini wipers work lol

I have a trailer dude, but no tow car as I probs be going in the mini (hopefully). I wouldn't want anything to happen to it during transit aswell, the trailer aint the best, lol.

Man up use it as intended, just keep off the go pedal :)
