right... after snapping a tap in my block getting frustrated and deciding to give up and hope it does itself i have suddenly found a tiny burst of get up and go with it.

so i bashed the tap out bit by bit and redrilled all the waterways a size up and tapped them all susesfully, all the holes now blocked and block very lightly skimmed, so the it went on the mill again to have the 10th and 11th head stud drilled

phone ran out of battery so got no decent piccies of the block, or the head now its drilled, blocked tapped and whatever else. all it needs now it the oil fed thrust conversion and a line bore which will be done next week with luck.

head will have another blast and then machining will start with cnc cutting the chambers.

going to strengthen my new subframe on friday ready for powdercoating so i can get my old cracked one off and all my new rosejointed stuff on the car ready.

decided after some research the an rts clutch is well worth a try.

going to try and get some done now.

well i got my subby from the unit today and took it home so i could work on it, wasnt planning on lightening it but i saw my little collection of holesaws and in true TM style i boshed a few calculated holes:

now just need to seam weld it, clean it up, take the remainingattachments off and sent it for blasting and coating.

its an advantage having my other one crack really as this is the earlier type which will give me just that little extra room for the FMR and FMIC.

:)

still toying with the idea of a sky blue subby :S

Ahh yeah, subframe lightening really is a TM disease isn't it. Mine may even get the treatment!

sure is dave, didnt wanna go too mad tho, safety before speed for me.

subframes ready to be coated after ive cleaned my welds a little. took it over my mates and gave it a bit of a weld up and a few plates to strenghten it, not sure in reallity how much the tower plates will do but im sure the tie bar plates will help keep it solid at the front. welding isnt pretty but its strong, im happy with the welding considering i couldnt even mustle up a pigeon shit weld a few months ago. :)

Haha yes, took a gamble on the color but the I like the result, my top arm renewal kit I used was dodgey and gotta get another one and have it sent back as the shafts don't fit in thebearings... Nice so yet again another setback. I'm starting to think it isn't possible for anything on this car to be nice and simple.

Well, after not being too keen on the gunmatal powdercoat its looks alot better with shiny bolt and bits around them, happy with it now:

And got these bottom arms, look likr this without the boot:

Then painted my old (but pretty new cones to match the bodywork and gave my hi-los a quick clean so it looks as new as the rest:

Should lOok fairly presentable.

No progress at all, missing mitp again. Still no engine, no bits to build by subby and cant get through to the person building it to go over and sort it out. Ffs. Should have took tm members advice and used a certain someone off here in the forst place then i would have had a great engine one and a half years ago... :(
