See what the van manages tomorrow. It's helical is holding up and I drive it with maximum abuse! If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

well small update, fitted my new brakes and fitted a oil thing from hong kong to stop my car smoking so much, and it works well, just a small amount of smoke now which i guess is the old turbo.

Is that some sort of restrictor? If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of. |

yeah, when the car was on idle it used to smoke so much. I read somewhere that it could be down to too much oil trying to pass through the turbo and forcing its way passed the seals in the turbo. only happened on idle and not on the inlet side. cost me £10 posted. |

For ball bearing turbo's not plain bearing ones. If a plain one burns oil you need to recon it, not oil starve it.

hmm well ive read several people on the honda forums using them with plan old t3's, ive put a recon kit on it, it dont somke when the oil drain flows freely, but where my turbo sits thats hard work. its getting about 45psi of oil on tickover!
