I got the exhaust hung this morning.

When John eventually showed (he said something about man love in Mike Race's garage *oh well*) the real work started.

We filled the engine up with oil, back filled the oil pump and turned it over on the starter. Mikes dodgy oil preasure gauge pipe was blocked, so we're not sure how much preasure we got but it was enough to switch the oil preasure light signal. I made a pikey head shield.

Then we dropped the engine in

And made a start on plumbing it in.

It's going to be a little crowded under there when the intercooler is piped in and the oil catch tank is mounted.

While John's been busy getting pissed for free at the Good Food show, I've been slaving away in the garage.

Got the CPS fitted.

Fitted the boost controller. Kept it inside the engine bay to try and stop us winding the boost up all the time.

And I've done some plumbing.

I didn'tallow for the length of the alloy bends when I measured up for the interfooler hoses, so I've got loads of hose and a elbow spare and a 45 degree silicone elbow on order.

All being well it should be running soon *surprised*

Nice one Andy.

Should flow real nice with those shallow i/c bends.

I must admit though, with all that space, I'd have run the air filter down to a cold air source.

There's a real risk you might be finished soon then ??!!

Richard.

The air filter is a bit big to be shifting around the engine bay as space is a bit limited in that area. I may well run a duct to it if there is room...

The interfooler worked out well for an ebay guess...

Yep. It may well be finished soon, allthough it won't be back on the road until the new year.

Looking good. Is the dizzy just for insurance? Dont forget to remove the drive when you take it off.

Dizzy is there for initial fire-up and MJLJ testing. Then we will move over and remove the dizzy & drive.

I always keep my dizzy on for a few weeks after fitting mapped ignition too. I've never had to use it once I've unplugged it.

We've got a small problem with the clutch now.

I've used a short mini braided hose for the supply to the slave cylinder and intended to use the original steel pipe from the master cylinder to flexi hose, but all the unions are different and teh flexi hose is kinked at the slave cylinder as the engine sits further away from the bulkhead in the metro. SO, the search is on for a custom braided hose...

Thanks. I've found a male 7/16 to female 3/8 adaptor so that we can use the standard mini long braided hose. Just waiting for them to confirm the TPI
