I've been putting off the rear subframe since I bought the car, but after 2 years of it being patched to pass an MOT, I bit the bullet.

(Same story on the offside too)

Wire brushed and re waxed all underneath

New subby, should be a hoot getting that to fit....

Knew I had the poly bushes for a rear subframe kicking about somewhere! *happy*

I bet my first wank came quicker than your first mini turbo

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

I am too really impressed with the pace of your work, top marks! Dont know how you find the time with uni though, I struggle. I might be out of line, but with the pace of work, do you still have the girlfriend?

Yeah I'm still with the missus, don't think thats going to change for a fair while.....

I left Uni, It wasn't my cup of tea so I now work nights, hence the chance to work on the mini in the daytime. Plus I need to crack on, so I can get myself a job thats not nocturnel.

The bulkhea box was from Jaosn G on here, I don't know if he's still making them thou...

Yeah its a good fit. The best thing to do to fit one is get as many pictures of bulkhead boxes as you can to look at as your doing it. It isn't too hard, just got to be confident and just think before you start chopping into it.

Back on all 4 again, new rear tyres on tuesday then I'll just be doing bits and bobs untill I'm ready to MOT. I'm hoping I can get it done for the weekend. Booked into the TMF clubstand at Newark Mini Show MOT permitting. Can't see why I won't make it thou now, final stretch!

No pictures, but I made a start painting the wheel arches today, got them all in plastic primer and ready for some high build tomorow, then black. Got my sideights working, hazard switch mounted up an a few other jobs done today.

MOT's booked for Monday morning at 9.30 and I'll actually make this one!

:(

Wheel bearings done, swapped the track rod end and the 3 way connector. Just the tyres and emmisions left now then.

Need to swap a ball joint too on the offside while I'm at it.
