So when some joey comes on here about how his 16v turbo vauxhall is great compared to ours, he can be given the 'bird'...

Is the silver one the new demo car?

yes the silver one is a new demo car (1994 SPI Cooper), Mmag have very kindly agreed to cover the build up (it has an honoury section in the staff pages) and will have the car for a period after its finished. Work started on it 5 weeks ago - tomorrow the remainder of the front suspension will go in, the short motor is sitting on the box and will be dropped in after the weekend. It'll be sitting pretty at Bingley in Jan with dyno/spec sheets attached - book your test drive then!

thanks for the reminders, I knew there was something I had to be doing!!

Late Oct I had a change of plan with the cooling system on the car - two reasons - I didn't like the underbonnet layout it was just too busy and secondly I really wanted to run a bigger engine rad. So both the chargecooler rad and a "double a mini size" cooling rad inc fans have been relocated to under the boot floor. Boot floor is still intact its all underneath. This has taken a bit of time to sort out properly whilst ensuring correct ducting for airflow etc. So this is now done as of the weekend and the alignment has been done correctly on our laser rig - in theory I can fire it when I have an ecu in my hands, if we didn't keep selling them all!

Speed--hmm yes I'l lhave to rewind my brain 9 years to when I was riding 900cc superbikes on the commute to work everyday.lol!

oh and the small matter of building another car entirely for the past couple of months has slowed progress - this one will be running end of next week as well.
