Got a few little bits finished yesterday.

Sorted the rust on the door step. Had to make up a patch to go in there which was abit tricky, but its turned out ok i guess for the limited tools i have at home.

Then today ive just thrown on some etch primer. Its not perfect by any stretch so we will see what its like when its dry. Makes the inside look alot better though!

(the flash decided it didnt want to work...)

It wasnt an easy task, in my small garage, shitty mask, and a stroming hang over. Feeling the effects of 2k now!! yeehaa!

I really need to get a proper mask before i spray anymore i guess.

Cheers, James.

Good to see you've stopped taking bits off it and started putting things on it now! Nice work.

Seeing as its my week off, i bought a mask this morning and the inside is now white!

I will get some pictures as soon as i can walk into the garage without getting high as hell!!

Unfortunately the cage hasnt turned up yet, and im still waiting on getting the miglia top box back from the fabricators, so this week might not be as productive as i hoped!

Time to phone some people and see how things are getting on...

Got my top box back. Thats half in and i ran out of wire. So ive got some new wire to crack on with that. I'll get out there today and sort that.

The cage also arrived yesterday....I'm actually scared of it now...i'll try and get some pictures of it later. Should be able to update this with some pictures this evening.

i cannot beleive i missed this build thread :( look good (just read last 2 pages) im off to read the rest in abit, i like how the rear seat is completely removed!!!, does it affect the rear stiffness much? (i know u have the dogs dangles of a cage) and what u doing about the fuel tank? doesnt there have to be a bulk head between u and it... i always thought there did

forgive me if its already been said im off back to read it all now *happy*

EDIT: yep all questions answered i think and working without a garage is crap aint it *happy* looking forward to seeing your cage in:)

I just bought a twin filter from halfords mate. Its really not the best but im not spraying much so its fine for me.

If i spray more after this one, i will get a proper air fed mask. That would only be in a better workshop though so i could get a decent fresh air feed to the compressor and an extractor system fitted.

Rob the cage has already given me headaches. Ive got the main structure in so now the "fun" really starts!

I've already had to change the mounting of the rear stays and diagonal due to not having a bulkhead. But all's good and it ties in nicely to my new towers. Should look like a real proper job when the blade type ARB goes in aswell.

Well, i think i am now officially a contortionist.

Just the dash bar, and front triangulation (goes to the tower bolt) along with tieing it all into the body etc to go i believe. It might have been finished today but i've ran out of gas.

Blooming heck that cage went in quickly, was it pre-notched?

Needs a few gussets mind :)

EDIT: Do the front triangulation before you do the dash bar, I can't remember how many times I hit my head fitting the front triangulation on my cage.

Yeah rob, its all pre-notched, i cheated in that sense!

A few of the bars needed adaptation. Some just fitted badly, others because of me having no bulkhead.

The dashbar needs to be shortened to fit anyway so i will leave it 'til last like you suggest!

I need to PM you about some gussets!

I wish I went for a pre notched cage, as it was the notching that took the time.
