well i got work on the friday and its about a 3-4 hour drive for me so i will leaving early saturday morning and staying to watch sundays events.

hopefully see a few of you around and share a drink or ten.

the fan belt frayed on the way to my 'rents house. Wrapped itself round the crankshaft pully and wedged in the teeth of the crank sprocket and jammed solid.

It slipped a couple of teeth and put the timing out (obv didn't run it like this). Had it in bits today. Hoped I'd get lucky by timing it up and sticking new belts on it, but it has no compression so it's taken some valves with it.

fuck it.

The problem is, Ange loves this car... so it's got to be fixed. Going out to start pulling the head off now. There's so much more to remove than on a mini!! EGR valves? Who invented them? waste of time!

spent all night sorting out 2 front bushes on my honda, what a fucking pain in the cock of a job that was.

off for a retest at 9am so should be down by dinner time, someone put the kettle on ready :)

Now my passat won't start due to an immobiliser problem... not cool. :(
