its a yellow steel circle where you put your finger in to pull it out , could that not be a hook instead , losing from ,say,6 o clock to 10 oclock

Medusa + injection = too much torque for the dyno ..https://youtu.be/qg5o0_tJxYM

Shame that wiper motor wont work anymore. the thick heavy steel is what carries the magnetic field and makes the motor work. D'oh

I seriously doubt it!

Yes it does mate I tested it on the bench, as I was going to make it in alloy, but I was sure you told me that before lol.

I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Nothing is impossible it just costs more and takes longer.

On the bench is different to on the car - experience.

It will turn but you will be able to stop it with your hand. When you have the friction of the wiper against the screen the wind speed from driving along the road will stop the motor with the wipers in the upright position. I have tried it all before and verified it by fitting the lightened housing to a couple of different motors

I seriously doubt it!

I see, it still seamed as powerful as before if it don't work it's not the end of the world *smiley* as I have some spares. My wipers have never been up to much anyway lol.

Nice looking work *smiley*
How do motors work when covered of water though....

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile

Thanks lads,

Just a little bit more done today, I forgot how crap TI is to work with, I spent 2hrs making an eng steady bracket. I got the 1st bend in it fine and went to do the 2nd and it snapped *frown* oh well reshow tomorrow.

So I moved on to this aS there is a little saving in Ti *smiley*

then started mucking about with nuts and bolts making sure they were just the right length, and I had all the right k nuts.

Now that top pic would look like a piece of cheese if you drilled some holes in it

I thought I had run out of stuff to drill and lighten, so this morning I went down to the lock up and sat and looked over the Mk1 for more bits to play With *smiley*

I found that the rear lights had the worlds longest bolts and biggest washers holding them in, so they were pulled off. I swapped the bolts for Ti and glued them in, also they have some alloy washers and k nuts. *smiley*

Then I started looking at the bumpers I did not realise they were just over 3kgs for the both of them. I hope to drop that down a bit, by swapping the bolts and bits over and doing some drilling *smiley* *smiley*

I am just waiting on my manifold coming back from my welding stig and some bits coming from Mr Carl then I will be good to get this back on the road *smiley*

Thanks for looking simon.

I hope I don't regret this.......

It was spot on! On the balancing machine with my rts fitted, I just had to get the posts dropped down to match my old one for my set up *smiley*

There is 2kg saving over my old one.

I was going to get the med one, but as I was calling minispeed for something else, I asked did they have any thing sat about. This was the last one from a Batch of 10 they ordered and as it was the last one they give me a good price *smiley* I could not refuse, but no it did not lol.

Yes mate I was looking at that today, I am not fussed about the colour coding the same, as I am using that air craft wire. So I will be tagging it up with numbers.

Can't wait to see the final weight of this, lots of nice light weight touches without taking away from the car if you know what I mean.

Thanks jay, it's only now that I have started really really looking at it , that I have realised how over engineered I made it the first time around *smiley* also I see it as a challenge at the min! As it would be to easy to stick some some plastic on it for big savings.
