I know what you mean Paul There's more to it than drilling a few holes I wish it was that simple and cheep sprocket. That's the gear linkage done with a nice little weight saving by swapping the rods to alloy. Than I made these lighter, starting to get the hang of this lathe. Some more light weight bits. That's it for a bit now as works getting in the way. I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Clever idea machining down the centre of the bolts. I keep thinking about doing similar things with my pushbikes to reduce axle weight on the wheels and crank spindle On 26th Jan, 2012 Tom Fenton said:

Yes every bolt I add to the car now, I make sure I have just the right amount of threads with no extra. Them two 12 point bolts are around the same weight as the Ti ones so it's worth doing. I have started posting on Instagram also my name on there is turbomk1golf

Will the thin bits not stretch more than the tolerance of the original bolt? On 11th Feb, 2015 robert said:

Andy they are 3/8 bolts and they are down to 5/16 in the centre now, as they are Not load bearing I think they will be fine.

Rather sexy, always liked this car before but the rebuild is turning into something YOU look for on ebay mate. BHP sells engines, but Torque wins races! |

Not a bad afternoon in the man cave today, I could not believe that the full exhaust system was just over 12kg so I had to work on that
