Hi David,a friend in the Midget/Sprite community is also fitting a BMW box.Could you give me a bit more detail of which box you used, and I will try to extract info from him on his experience to date.Thanks. 'Where does the engine go?' |

The preferred box is the ZF, hard to find in the UK but easier in Germany it seems.

Too cold to work in the garage so I went into the workshop and spent 2 hours on the lathe.

I am looking at buying a rather expensive (five figures) MG Magnette and reckon I will have to sell one of the A 35,s to make space, if nothing else.

Pity to see this not finished but i suppose we have all been tempted with other cars. A five figure magnette must be a good one? Always liked them since following the exploits of brian cox with his mgb engined one in practical classics a good few years ago now

The Magnette has recent bills for body resto of nearly £8000, the later 1622 cc engine, 5 speed gearbox and MGA diff., as well as an almost perfect interior - see why I am tempted ? |

Well, I got an offer of £4000 for the van, but, with all the pressure from friends and family, I have been persuaded to keep it.
