Bad luck mate, I would love to know what followers are those so I can avoid them since putting a new cam in my engine.
Thanks John

All the debris was either sat in the bottom of the box or stuck to both Magnetic Catches.

I cant remember where I bought them from to be honest, but all the rest look fine.

Right time to revive this thread. Ive decided ive had enough of leaky smelly a series and gone to leaky smelly vauxhall instead :) Managed to get a decent 16se 1.6 8v from a disastra. Came with loom and everything to go, so me being me binned it all and bought a pair of twin 40s haha. Looking to use the NoDiz system and get the old gal up and running for some enjoyment before the years out.

Thought I recognised your avatar, you messaged me about my 16se. Did you get the other one that was up on 16v forum?

In your broke down photo, what wheel combo is that with those miglias?

Look forward to your progress.

Are you welding a shifter box into the lower fire wall or are you binning the plasticy looking Vauxhall linkage?

You PMed me again today haha.

If you're struggling to find a frame have a go yourself. If you are local enough to me in Kent you're more than welcome to come over, take some measurements and photos if that would help you.

If you're unsure on welding the frame up, tack it and bring it down to us. we can weld it up for you, we can also sort you out for shafts.

If you're local enough and if it's any help of course.

Well done Mike you don't fuck about, but pissing webers WHY. It will make about the same power, use half the fuel, and be far more tractable and drive able on the injection. Perfect for a reliable daily that will start, idle, etc on its own come sun or snow.

Yes mate, ended making one in the end. Wasn't too difficult. Hardest part was having no engine lift so had to man handle the fucker in.

This engine is the lesser powerful 1.6, the c16se produced about 100bhp, however this is the z16zr or something there about which produces about 75bhp, the main differences being the inlet manifold and tb, which is restrictive for emissions purposes. Therefor id have to get the inlet and ecu from the c16 which are getting pretty hard to acquire these days. So when these carbs popped up on the correct manifold for £250 it seemed the obviously choice really.

Ill utilise the onboard Coil pack and run the Nodiz system. The Project title is a little misleading these days, as its more like "Project not a ridiculously wide Stupid fucking volvo engined mini"

Finally got the engine and subframe fitted today. Bit of a pain in the arse without a engine lift but we managed to handball it all in.

Fabricated a little box and got it welded into place.

More to come tomorrow hopefully I'll have it back on it's wheels and rolling again.

Started on the airbox today, a bit fiddly as the engine sits a tad lower than I first anticipated.
