No pictures at the moment but the car is now upside down and the rear subi is almost off ready for the new one. But first I,m going to paint the floor because it was never painted other than under coat.
I'm going to move the fuel pipes to the other side with new clips and re clip the brake pipe.

I also thinking of doing something with the tank ie swirl pot. My other idea is to cut a hole in the top and put baffles in it as anyone got any ideas on this.

Are you sure you want warm water going through the inlet?

Most people chop these off to keep the inlet cool.

read through this whole project again... great stuff.

so just to confirm something, its best not to have water going through the inlet manifold??

do you need to close the holes that are in the manifold? everyone sure about this?

The pipes are for running water through, if there's no water going in there's non coming out *wink* so no need to block the holes.

I'm thinking about 18 or 20 ish sounds a nice round figure. Are you going for about the same?

You can always turn it down so I'm going to see what power it makes at about 20 and then turn it down to make it more drive able on the road. 20 sounds good but you've got to have some good clips to keep them inter cooler pipes on. *happy*

Craig that is a cracking mini, good work.

I ran 18psi on my last engine so ill be running 20-22psi maybe more on the drag strips. I used normal jubilee clips at 18psi no probs, but ill be using mikalor clamps this time around.

For road use I have a switch connected to a solenoid valve on the 3rd leg of the bleed valve, with the switch closed you run actuator boost, flick of a switch you get whatever boost your bleed valve is set to, also helps with wheelspin in 1st and 2nd on the strip

Here's mine

Got the stonechip stuff done on Thursday and painted up

Kept it all covered as best as could while the painting was done

Made the brackets for the fuel pipes battery cable and brake pipe

This how the clips are made

put it in the vice and tighten it

then a bit more

until you get this

should look something like this

then just trim the ends to length and drill your fixing holes

subframe is on and started to fit the rear arms and brakes

Just a solenoid on the 3rd leg of the bleed, they just need a live and an earth, with a switch on either wire. To open or close it

Looking great budd ! I really do like those clips as well !

What type of paint have you sprayed it with ?

P.S. Did you put that rubber hose pipe over the Fuel/Brake pipes to protect them where the clips are ?

P.P.S I want that jig to do mine ! Do you mind me asking where you got it from ? bet it was nerve racking rolling it over for the first time *oh well*

Which bolts are upside down Andy, do you mean the rear trunions, are you forgetting that its a van and the nuts are captive in the chassis..

I think he means the rear trunnions should face the other way with the smaller lug facing the rear. Not necessarily "upside down"

Just re-read it. Maybe he doesn't.

I mean the rear most trunions. If they are fastened with a nut and bolt. Always put the bolt down through the floor, then if the nut comes of you still have the bolt attempting to hold the trunion in position.

I know what you mean now, but not possible with the van, captive nuts in van floor..
