Cheers Oli.

MOT has been cancelled as I am having a nightmare with the brakes. Lets just say there are a few leaks... :( Needs some serious time spending on it and I don't have the time at the moment

Don't want to be a picky bastard but you should not be used or need to use PTFE on brake unions. PTFE is for low pressure taper fittings only where the sealing is done on the threaded section. Brakes should use hydraulic type sealing which is suitable for the pressures involved, which is done either by cone and seat, e.g. normal flared copper solid lines, or face sealed, e.g. copper washer onto flat face.
In either case if they are leaking they are either damaged or not tight enough.

So... brakes still not sorted due to lack of parts but got the doors fitted and managed to roll it out of the workshop to get a proper look at it, I was grinning from ear to ear

Cheers guys, pretty happy with the panel gaps, they are ok for the first time I've ever reskinned doors and fitted new A-panels. The colour of the doors is slightly different too... which is going to bug me but when I fit the door roundels it should hide the colour difference a bit... failing that it needs a full respray *wink*

Well, this little bastard now has an MOT!!! hoorah!

I'm not happy with the feel of the brakes at all, so they need looking at and the doors are the worst colour match I have ever seen! ha ha.

Anyway its been done on the 'fairly cheap' so at least now I can use it and sort it as I use it.

I'm still sorting out niggles on the car at the moment. I'm struggling with an oil leak, the crank pulley bolt has come loose, we had a really odd issue with a main jet coming undone on the weber causing all sorts of issues.

It is currently in bits again having ANOTHER timing cover gasket fitted.

I paid a visit to the car trimmer today and the seats etc are coming on nicely. I'll post come photos soon.

So much for doing a few events this year!

I know that feeling. I'm now aiming to be on the road in March and ready for some abuse at Minis vs Beatles.
