Your workmanship impresses me but I see you had to do the same as I when making up a front pipe to suit - bits and pieces !

I,m also encouraged to see that you have the oxygen sensor as close to the turbo as I have.

One thing you could do which would be cool, you could rig up a brake switch to the accelerator, so when you get over a certain amount of pedal travel it opens up, that way when driving slowly it would stay shut, or on the motorway etc, then open up when you give it a boot-full

I belive this is how NoS works with a micro switch on the carb / throttle body so the NoS is only active at full throttle, you would require a fast acting actuator to open the open pipe at full throttle and from what i have seen on my mates F100 there not that fast.

What the mind can conceive the mini can achieve
MITP 2012 17.01 seconds 1/4 mile against "The Don"
MITP 2013 16.83 seconds 1/4 mile

Thanks tadge, I hate doing exhausts! They always knock on something.

The servos I have seen have also been quite slow, that's why I though a boost operated actuator with a really weak spring in might work best. The standard Aston one was held shut via a vacuum so basically as soon as you touched the throttle it would open

You must have abrasive hands if you polished that with them. Did you know you can buy polish specifically designed for polishing metal?

wonder if you could set that exhaust valve up to take a pressure reading from the headers and open to maintain a setting like the wastgate on a turbo? if u know what i mean?
like when there is x back pressure it opens the thing then closes when there is no back pressure
