Nice car. Where did the mk1 rear lamp adapter plates come from? Most plates I have seen do not look correct as they have the light sat flush on the back of the car rather than having the lamp mounted on a raised platform. Yours look right

surftolive its good to see its gone to a good home and great that your on here to share it too. :)

I've just had word about having the new valve guide seals fitted, apparently a few of them had gone, as they weren't set up or installed properly. Nevertheless alls good and it should be ready this weekend.

One point they had which i guess there is alot of varying opinion on is the rockers, should i have uprated high lift ones considering it's got an uprated cam in it? At the moment i believe their standard. I want to run up to 14/15psi in it, are they likely to be a 'weak link'?

You can use high or low ratio rockers,

A lot of people recomend 1.3:1's with the Phase 2 cam, as you get better low end.

Did the 1.3.1 come standard on the Metro Turbo? If not where can I get some of these from?

all the std ones are essentially the same and approx 1.3:1.

I just had a look in DIcanio's old build theread, they are std A+ rockers (unless they have been changed since)

So I picked the motor up today from my local engineering company. No smoke at all...! Concluding it was the valve guide seals. Great, seemed to be ticking over a bit fast but all was well.... took it for a spin out towards Oxford and suddenly i can here the tappets... Looks like I need to get it set up again including the fueling and timing...As well as MJ.

One thing that really is p**sing me off is the suspension has been set up ridiculously hard i literally jump along the road... It's like being tortured via shaking!!!
