Up to you but I've never liked the numberplate mounted down there. Why not make some trick quick release brackets so that it sits in the normal-ish place for road use, and then removes easily for track or drag etc.

The main reason for putting the number plate down there was to get plenty of air to the radiator. I read in somebody's build thread that they had temperature problems with the plate in the standard place running one of the fiat rad's. Bit late to shift it back now *smiley*

I've used rivnuts in the bracket, so it's only a couple of cap head bolts to get the plate of.

The main cause of running hot is leaving big gaps around the edge of the radiator if you ask me. Make a proper cowl to seal the rad to the apertures available and you should have no problem.
Your car and your choice how it looks I guess!

I've put a lower cowl in, to push the air up. Will have a look at some horizontal ones too.

Got some period bucket seats from ebay.

The body is fibreglass, so they are fairly light at 7.3KG each. Not sure how much a standard seat ways. Quite snug, but fairly comfy.

Me too. I think they suite the retro/70's look I'm aiming for. I was getting pretty pissed of at other people bidding on them lol.

£47 No idea what they came out of or when they where made. I saw them and had to have them...

They seem to sit me in the right place to get a good view of all the gauges.

Obviously everything is just slung in place to give me an idea, but with a bit of fettle it should be OK. Going to put another gauge pod on the left of the main binnacle (shamelessly copied from Robert's car). Boost and AFR on the column and temp's/pressure on the left.

It's a bit better than the £450 I was going to spend on some Corbeau GTBs *smiley*

Also, I don't have to dislocate my ankles to press the pedals, unlike a standard mini...

Is that lead loading you have done round the welds on your footwell? If so where did you get the stuff to do it? If not what is it?

Nope, I'm not skilled enough for lead loading. I just ground the welds down then cleaned it up using a flap disk. Got some new ones from ebay and they seem very effective. 80 grit, but they don't take much metal of and leave a nice finish.

Then it's frost zinc primer over the top (in the second seat pic).

Ta. That steering wheel is shot, it's just for pushing the car round with. Got a much nicer one for when it's finished *smiley* PM me your address and I'll drop the centre in the post to you.

For once Wifey listened to me and came up with some nice MED goodies for my birthday *smiley*

Also spent a couple of hours in the garage making a nice big hole in the mini...

Had a look at the rear subframe while I was there. I built it up about 2 years ago with pretty much new everything. It's done about 30 miles being towed and all the rubber bits are perished and split.
