Found a suitable place for the silencer

Just need to get hold of a large enough clamp.

Any idea how hot a silencer gets? Could do without the bracket getting too hot!

Intercooler has arrived

Granted, far from ideal place to put it. But can't see too many other options?? Ideas anybody?!

Making a new pipe, as I reckon I could have a mikalor clamp issue!

Also had to make myself a new bonnet as I 'lent' mine out to a friend of a friend...

Some vents in the rear quarters to the intercooler? And some holes/vents in the boot to give it a path to flow to?
Just guesswork, i dont know if it'll work, i think there is some aero stuff on the carbon weezel website?

Chargecooler is the best option. I run an IC at the rear of my kit car and it's pretty useless even with a fan on.

The silencer will get pretty hot that close to the engine. I'd be tempted to put some insulation between the bracket.

Made a 2nd bracket and mounted the silencer with 2 large mikalor clamps.

Need to buy a few bends and join it to the downpipe, then that's the exhaust done.

New water pipes are being welded up next week, then it's just the intercooler and boost pipes to go

Water pipes are all welded up.

Once they're fitted, just need a hose blank and a few clamps and that's the water system all done

After offering up the intercooler several times, I've ordered one of these from PWR in Australia instead

Just deciding whether to go with an ice tank and/or a front mounted rad

They have an office in Tamworth (West Mids) I've walked around their stores and weighed several bits, so it should come from there? But first class quality for everything I looked at, even a sneaky peak at the F1 stuff they pretty well exclusively they do, don't forget the weight of all the supporting bits and pieces

Yeah, they do the rads at work so I know the quality is good.

They have 1 in the U.K. So I'm having that.

I'm not too worried about the weight, be good of to get more over the front!

First couple of parts have arrived

Just waiting for the water pump to arrive. Went for a 130lt/min alloy bodied one.

Exhaust bends are here now as well, so it's time to get that mocked up and welded.

Made progress with the exhaust today

Bought one of these a while ago, but the radius of the bend was way too big

So had my friendly fabricator do this

Amazed with the result. Having a slip joint fitted to it tomorrow, then just a right angle needed to attach it to the downpipe.

Engine water system now needs a short length of 8mm hose for the turbo water feed and it's finally complete too.

Next up is to order hoses and fit the chargecooler, before finishing up with the water system for that.

Getting there at last!
