Door's are built up, roof trim's on, petrol tank's in and the rear lights are in an wired up. Painted my battery strap, petrol tank and a few other bits and bobs along the way.

The door window surround seal is a bastard to fit with the window in place!

These new modern turbos with their quick spool up time, would make the competition harder.

Shropshire.

good work so far :)

one thing though.. the fuel pump (if its a bosch like the metro turbo) might need to be mounted lower than that, below the tank for example.

I mounted mine like that and had flow rate issues, the pumps don’t like to suck fuel in.

Fuel pump worked fine last time it was on the road, although I will keep it in mind if I get any future issues! Thanks mate :)

8mm Copper line - £20
Pipe cutter - £5
Pipe Bender - £13

Getting soo f**ked off with copper line, and going out and spending another £21 quid on rubber hose, priceless.

The run solid from the tank to the regulator, through the floor cross member and out through the bulkhead. Be abit better then copper being inside too, didn't really want feet crushing/kinking the copper. Carpeted the front too, as my floor's aren't really preety enough to be on show.

Had to move the mini this morning so dad could get the camper out, sneaky picture.... (you can see the seal I've fitted on the tops of my inner wings. Just to stop shit collecting between the wing and innerwing and eating into my paint)

After the weekend thou I recon the mini will be just about finito! MOT early next week and I'll see where that leaves me

You may find the inside soon starts to reek of petrol with rubber hose.

Please tell me you have used grommets where the pipe passes through the bulkhead and crossmember?

Yeah there is grommets on it all throughout the car, where it goes through the bulkhead, seat squab, crossmember, and bulkhead again. The rear bulkhead ones wern't on in the picture.

Quick update...

Fuel pump rewired, popped a switch inline for if I did have an accident and the inertia switch didn't work, and if I leave it in any seedy places I can just knock the fuel pump off so they can't really get very far. It'll stall them longer while the alarm's going. It looks really obvious were it is on the picture, but it's tucked nicely under my seat.

Wiring P-clipped up

Lights all work!

All the glass is in, bootlid is on too

Just need to clean the glass up properly now, put the lights in the front, grill on and waxoil it all.

It runs aswell, started almost straight away after the fuel pump had ran for about 30 seconds

Wicked.

Is that a home brew dash or one you had made? I'm after one with a few more gauge holes in it.

Also get a MK1 style boot handle on there *wink*

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Yeah the dash was a home brewed effort.

I'm after some chrome handles and a mk1 boot handle like you say, not on the top of the priority list at the minute thou, just want to get it back on the road again now *happy*

Going for an early next week MOT so I can get it taxed on the 1st of the month hopefully....

Braved putting the moustche ends on this time round, horrific job.

Lights will be going in today, then I'll bleed the clutch and brakes an I'm just about finished in the engine bay :)

MOT next tuesday too!

When you've got yours done, do you want to come round and no mine? You've done more in 2 months than I've done in 2 years!

Had abit of a set back today, tried to bleed the brakes to no avail. No fluid getting to the rear at all, so I followed the line until I reached the master cylinder.

After taking it apart, and having a good look at it realising it was only good as a paper weight (The inner bore was scored heavily, the rubbers didn't look too good either) I've bought a new one from a local motorfactor, should be here tomorow morning. Shame I'm at Combe thou :( I'll be able to spend all day sunday cracking on with it thou so I'll be well on the way then I hope.
