Yep 8 coats will do nicely! Lol Does anyone know how easy it is to drill the 1/2" selector shaft? Like is it fooking hard material? Can you not replace it with a mild steel rod? Do you want to lighten it? or is it to fit the UJs? Edited by Rob H on 14th Jan, 2009. Isambard Kingdom Brunel said:

Cool, I'll try and make some collets tomorrow, complete with glory hole to drill holes for the roll pins. Have you got any 1/2" dies? https://www.facebook.com/pages/Fusion-Fabri..._homepage_panel

Yeah that would be cool if you could...only if you've got nothing better to do though, don't go out of your way to do it. I'd leave the windscreen though, just incase I can't get to the dash bolts with it in. lol

After a LONG weekend of work and even longer drive home its nearly finished. Still got some wiring issues to sort out and the gear linkage still needs work but all the work so far seems to of payed off! :) Have to say a big thanks to Nic and Ian for their graft over the last few weeks.

In the last year what you have done, is turn a quick and nice turbo mini into a stunning, mentally fast 16v turbo mini.

Yeah still using the standard cable and retainer. Haven't had time to make the final adjustments on it yet though.
