bollocks

my engine and box have fallen out the engine bay on the pug

they have fallen out?! Something you can fix before coming home, or is it terminal?

Let me know if there is anything you need to help, even if it's just ringing gsf for parts.

theres nothing left of the casing of the box mate

mr cunt sheared of a bit of casing on one of the studs, the other has now sheared off with the stress of towing

i was going to change the box but could not find one at a sensible price before riv run so chucked the old one back in

I phoned AA Monday when it happed told them it needed a front lift or flat bed so they sent a vw transporter with no kit, then a second vw transpoerter then a kangoo van

they were then supposed to collect me and the car last night at 8pm to take us back to swindon to collect the passat, after 2 recovery companys phoning to say they could not come out tillmorning a 3rd collect me and the pug at midnight got me to swindon at 4:45 am and i got the passat and got back to newquay at 7:30 am

i am now fucking shattered and am looking forward to a pasty and lemon cheescake ice cream

Sounds like my Anglesey epic. Left Rotherham 08.00 Sat morning, went to Birmingham collected fathers Range Rover and trailer. Got a no plate made for trailer. Set off back to Rotherham, arrived about 2pm. Loaded track car onto trailer, loaded all spares wheels tyres etc into Range Rover, set off heading for overnight stop in Manchester at about 4pm. By 6pm I was broke down in the services on the M62, phoned RAC out. Transit van attended, "has it got a diagnostic socket" he said "bloody doubt it I said, its a 1988 Range Rover".
After 2 recovery companies backheeled it, third one was supposed to be coming but driver bailed out when he heard destination was Birmingham, got picked up at Midnight. Back to my dads house at Birmingham, arrived approx 4am Sunday morning. Unloaded Track Car off trailer, loaded it onto my dads recovery truck, went in house, had cup of tea, set off for Anglesey 4.30am Sunday morning. Arrived Anglesey 8.30am Sunday morning, did trackday.

I was knackered.

Just got back today.....Had a Good chat with Roger and Wolfie over the weekend.

Must say a big thanks to Nic for helping me out the traffic, would probably be there now without it...Lol

A damn good weekend overall...lots and lots of drinking, got very messy very quickly!

i've just got home, cars locked up in a recovery companies garage in fucking newquay. They couldn't trailer me home today cos of drivers working hours or some thing so i got given a courtesy clio diesel....joy!

still i suppose i haven't had to drive the length of the M5 in the mini, plus with it not being my clio i can drive it like i hired it, lol.

no idea yet, no sparks on 2&3..tried new plugs, different leads, coilpack, EDIS etc, comp test shows 11bar across all 4.

its got fuel and sparks but no brum :(

I cant imagine any garage would want to look at it as its far from standard, and paying to get it trailered home could cost some!

car got delivered home at 12 today, best part is it aint cost me a penny

got my breakdown cover for £40 through HIC with me insurance, recovery bert couldn't fix it so towed me to their base, gave me an 03 plate clio and dropped my car off today cos none of the drivers had enough hours yesterday.


now i've just gotta figure out why its dumping arseloads of fuel in...

fooked reg diapraghm?

Can't argue at that....sounds like a damn good service!

should be back on the road at the end of the month. i thought my MOT was up later in the month, just checked and it was up on the 9th...ooops.

Good luck with the repair mate, let us know what it was as you'd checked everything I would have done at the roadside and it's definately fubar'd ... a mystery ..... from chasing scobby's to not having one... LOL
