Looks fantastic, you've done a great job making the engine bay uncluttered and neat. Mine looks like someone has had a silicon hose spew under the bonnet.

Thanks lads, and thanks jay I did not what it to look like Ann summers in there rubber all over the place.

Right as I post this I am mucking about with the timing! And this is what I found.....

When I started playing with it,
At the gun I was getting 50 and on the laptop I had 21..

So then I looked at the global controllers and found that the
trigger off set was at 5
cranking advance was at 12
Edis pip level was 10

I dropped the trigger offset to 0 what more do you think I should do?????

As if I fooled you, that I know what I am doing... Well I don't lol.

Help *smiley*

if you have 21 on the laptop you want 42 on the gun if it doesn't do wasted spark.

If something is worth doing, it's worth doing half of.

Jumpy cos the advance keeps changing on the jolt due to changes in rpm/map or just all over like a mad womans piss cos somethings amiss?

sounds right. The extra advance may be why your head gasket popped.

That's what I was thinking mate, it will not fire up first time anymore as well I think it needs a good mapping setup.

Yep reckon that's why your gasket went. Surprised they didn't pick up on timing being out on rollers to be honest.

Can you post your map up? There may be bits in it that are a bit too wild.

Got it. It looks like the one John did here:

http://www.turbominis.co.uk/forums/index.php?p=vt&tid=430430

Not sure if that was the final one we ended up with on the van, but that was quite aggressive at low load/rpm and made a few peoples engines not run so well.
