My casing is all cleaned up and ready for the final build now. I've trial fitted all the drop gears, and all looks good soo far. I just need to finish machining the transfer housing out now.

Thanks for the comments, I've had it working for a couple of weeks now, but spent weeks setting clearances, reworking a few bits I wasn't happy with and generally getting everything to run well together etc..
