Halfords classic leaves mayo in the top end. Asda stuff is pretty rubbish, probably the reason the vans bearings where wiped out when we took the original n/a 1275 out of it.

This weekend I have gone balls out on the car! Today had its ups and downs :)*frown* I started at 12.00 and gave myself a cut off of 19.00, as I have loads of stuff I have been putting off that I need to do for work! So I got the seat and gear change in fine, but the fuel pump was a right pig of a job. Then when Jo came home from work we had some special husband and wife time bleeding the brakes and clutch, replaced the wheels and all went well! then it was time to fire it up, but on turning the key the starter would come out and get stuck on the flywheel, so I pryed it out with a pry bar and did the nut back up, sorted!!

Next there was NO spark and lots of pissing about with coils and spark plugs. Then I plugged the old vr senser back in and held it next to the pulley whilst Jo cranked it over. It sparked but the wires were the wrong way around for the ford senser! with that all sorted . It still wouldn't fire up! so I had a play with the leads and swapped 1 and 2 around, and it fired up *happy* now the plugs have not moved off the coil so F##k knows what thats all about.

Anyway I am well happy with what we have got done in a weekend apartt from my hands being all cut up now :( so the lads I work with will think I have taking up self harming lol! I think if I put my mind to it I only have a full days work left on it, then it's MOT time.

Here it is on some new boots out side for first time in over a year ticking over *happy**happy**happy**happy**happy*

Those towing eyes look heavy!

It's always great to have a productive bit of time on the car. Any idea of the weight now after all the new goodies?

Well I have got the mk1 booked in at slark for the day on Thrusday next week, Today I got some time to have a look at the car. I found some things that need addressing first. I have coolant coming out the stud on idle *surprised*

Then I started looking at all the running gear and found this!! now the ride height is where it was before so I am not sure what to do. *Confused* as I dont like the jacked up look*frown*

Also some Man Cave Porn!
