been messing around in the garage this morning, and there's parts of the front that can be trimmed for the rad, so got that done..

the only place the rad is really fouling the body is the triangle shaped bits (bonnet pin brackets)

ill have to trim those bits just to get enough room to fit the alternator

the rad sits fairly high, but in this picture it is sitting on the subframe, if I manage to make some brackets at the right angle and maybe lower the alternator, it'll fit!

also got my water pump, I was told they're not great but this one popped up cheap(ish) on ebay, so worth a try

bonnet makes it look finished!

LOL, you wouldn't believe how many times I get told my bonnets open :(

well I did some cutting and trimming etc and I think the rad is in a good position now, not a pretty job, but thats not important

quick question, once I have all the hoses connected up, there shouldnt be a huge amount of movement in the rad right? I did make some brackets which (are pretty useless) hold it steady but not solid

also got the alternator in at last but with only 10mm max space, engine will be mounted solid so should be ok? (wing nut is just so i can put it on/off without pissing about to much for now)

atleast its all coming together now

Shropshire.

Cars looking great.. however i think it would look better with the bonnet flush. Im sure i read that lifting the bonnet at the back just creates a negative venturi and doesn't aid cooling on the move.

How many people have removed those triangulation bits from the crossmember? Looks good with them not being there, I loathe the bloody things.
Also Greg I heard your car was shit. *hehe!*
Haha, only joking mate, good work :)
*Oh and does your bellhousing get covered in shit with no inner wing being there? I can't remember what mine looked like after a few months of running about but i dont wanna get my clutch and med ultralight full of crap off the road if i drill it out.

LOL I get told it's shit everyday carl! umm you get the odd bit of shit on the cover but not to much, I use the car everyday and it was still clean after using it for the last 9 months or so

There is no real target at the moment, but I'll start buying lighter parts and modding things abit later in the year

Thanks, it can go in the middle but there was no room for anything behind it, but now I've moved it over there's enough room for the starter and dizzy, but the alternator is still very tight

cheers

I still need to fit the hoses and header tank so that will fill out the one side, then the weber and air box will go on, so it wont look so bare

but the bulkhead box is worth it if you can make one up
